It&#039;s amazing that many coaches and swimmers look at tapering and peaking as being risky, dangerous and tricky. But it&#039;s mostly about keeping things normal, consistent and using common sense.

It&#039;s also amazing how many coaches and swimmers will allow themselves to have a poor preparation then hope and pray a great taper will overcome months of mediocrity. 

The secret is....there is no secret. Work hard, work smart and work consistently.
