Lots of coaches will say &quot;competition is 90% mental&quot; but then only train mental abilities and skills for about 10% of the time. Doesn&#039;t make sense!

Makes sense, too many coaches train the body of the athlete and ignore the most powerful asset of the athlete, the phsyche, mind, spirit or whatever label you want to put to it.
The ability of a coach to inspire hunger, confidence and greatness in an athlete is just as important as his/her knowledge of exercise physiology, technical excellence etc.
